Adam Bennett - General Manager

Adam brings over 20 years of problem solving, innovation and people skills to this demanding role, leading HCH’s multiple teams to deliver operational outcomes that consistently exceed customer expectations.

He believes that with the right knowledge and transparent collaboration, there is a mutually beneficial outcome to be found for all stakeholders. Problem solving lies at the heart of Adam’s skill set – he loves the challenge, especially if the problem has been deemed unsolvable! This delivers some great benefits to clients.

For Commonwealth Steel’s Waratah plant (now Moly-Cop), Adam implemented a number of significant initiatives, notably a new waste-water system that delivered ongoing customer savings of $80,000 per annum. Early in his career, Adam was assigned with resolving serious operational and safety issues that had arisen in Gardner Perrott’s new $8m operation.

His ability to maintain strong customer relationships and his commitment to safety, quality, and customer service, has seen HCH grow its reputation for adding value into customers’ supply chain.

Reputation is a high priority for Adam. For HCH he has expanded its rail capabilities, achieved an enviable record in safety and is proud of the fact that clients see HCH as the benchmark. Safety, he said, is rewarding. “It’s a multi-front war and really getting employee culture and commitment on board is the key to nil injury.”

Adam sees the big picture. He knows that overall contract performance is multi-layered with safety, best practice and innovation working together for brilliant results.

The respect he has for others is reciprocated and that makes for excellent working relationships.
